Solid

Definition

Type set with no extra leading, so that the line spacing equals the type size. For example, 12 pt type set on 12 pt leading (12/12) is said to be set solid. The baseline-to-baseline distance is the same as the body size. Most text benefits from additional leading beyond solid.
